In the upcoming FIFA World Cup game between Brazil and Norway, scheduled for July 5 at 4:00 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Over" if there are 6 or more total corners taken by both teams in the first half. If the total number of first-half corners is fewer than 6, this market will resolve to "Under". This market refers only to corners taken within the first 45 minutes of regular play plus first-half stoppage time. Second-half corners, extra time, and penalty shootouts do not count. Markets on number of corners refer to corners taken, not corners awarded. Corners awarded but not taken will not count. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Crowd-implied vs ORYN AI fair value over time, with decision markers
This market is a pure toss-up at 50%, reflecting the difficulty of predicting first-half corner counts. Brazil's attacking style and Norway's potential defensive setup could push corners over, but World Cup matches often start cautiously, favoring the under. The line of 5.5 is well-calibrated to historical averages, leaving little edge to either side without deeper match-specific insights.
Brazil will dominate possession and attack relentlessly, forcing Norway to concede corners from defensive clearances. Norway's counter-attacks also create corner opportunities, and if the game is open, both teams could combine for 6+ corners in the first half. Referees in high-stakes matches tend to allow play to flow, increasing corner counts.
First halves in World Cup knockout or group-stage matches often start tentatively, with both teams avoiding risks. Brazil may score early and slow down, reducing corner frequency. If Norway sits deep and clears well, corners stay low. A disciplined, low-scoring first half with under 5.5 corners is common in competitive international fixtures.
