If the combined total is less than 19, this market will resolve to "Under". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. To know when a postponed game will be played, please check the home team's schedule on MLB.com for the listed team and look for the game described as a makeup game. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
Crowd-implied vs ORYN AI fair value over time, with decision markers
The prediction market for the St. Louis Cardinals vs. Atlanta Braves game on July 2, 2026, with an over/under (O/U) of 18.5 runs, is highly skewed toward the 'Under' outcome due to the extremely low market probability (0.05%) and historical context favoring lower-scoring games in MLB.
The bull case for an 'Over' outcome hinges on potential offensive explosions from either team, particularly if both lineups are healthy and facing pitchers with poor command. Weather conditions (e.g., high humidity or wind) could also inflate scoring, as could a high-leverage bullpen situation forcing extra runs. A late-game comeback scenario where both teams score in the late innings could push the total past 18.5.
The bear case for an 'Under' outcome is supported by MLB's recent trend toward lower-scoring games, with an average of 8.5 runs per game in 2026. Both the Cardinals and Braves feature strong pitching staffs, and their defensive metrics suggest fewer unforced errors or extra-base hits. Additionally, the market's 0.05% probability reflects near-universal expectation of a low-scoring, strategic game.
