The prediction market indicates a very low probability (1.40%) that Madrid's highest temperature on June 29, 2026, will reach 33°C. Historical climate data suggests this threshold is unlikely for late June in Madrid.
Madrid could experience an unusual heatwave due to anomalous atmospheric conditions, such as a strong high-pressure system or Saharan air intrusion, pushing temperatures to 33°C. Late June heatwaves are rare but not unprecedented, with historical outliers like 2019's early heatwave.
Standard late-June temperatures in Madrid average around 28-30°C, with 33°C being an outlier. Persistent cloud cover, rain, or cooler-than-average air masses could suppress temperatures below this threshold.
