The market prices a 20.5% probability that London City Airport Station records a high of 25°C on 28 June 2026. Historical climate data and seasonal trends suggest this outcome is plausible but not the most likely for late June.
A persistent high-pressure system over the UK could bring warm continental air, leading to unseasonably high temperatures. A late heatwave or Saharan airflow could push daily maxima toward 25°C. Recent climate trends show increasing summer extremes in London.
Typical late-June temperatures in London average around 21-22°C, with 25°C occurring in fewer than 20% of years. Cloud cover, Atlantic airflows, or early-season rainfall could suppress temperatures below 24°C. Persistent marine influence often keeps extremes muted.
