The probability of Austin's highest temperature on June 28, 2026, falling within the 104-105°F range is extremely low at 0.15%. Historical data and seasonal trends suggest this range is atypically high for late June in Austin.
Unusually severe heatwave conditions, such as a strong high-pressure system or late-season El Niño effects, could push temperatures into the 104-105°F range. Such anomalies, while rare, have occurred in past years (e.g., 2011, 2018).
Standard late-June temperatures in Austin typically range between 90-100°F, with 104-105°F being an outlier. Persistent cloud cover, rainfall, or atmospheric cooling factors (e.g., La Niña) would reduce the likelihood of reaching this range.
