In the upcoming FIFA World Cup game between South Africa and Canada, scheduled for June 28 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Over" if there are 6 or more total corners taken by both teams in the second half. If the total number of second-half corners is fewer than 6, this market will resolve to "Under". This market refers only to corners taken after the second half begins and before the end of the first 90 minutes of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half corners, extra time, and penalty shootouts do not count. Markets on number of corners refer to corners taken, not corners awarded. Corners awarded but not taken will not count. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Crowd-implied vs ORYN AI fair value over time, with decision markers
The prediction market for 'Over 5.5 total corners in the second half' of South Africa vs. Canada at the 2026 FIFA World Cup stands at 36.50%, indicating a bearish outlook favoring fewer than 6 corners. Historical trends and team styles suggest a lower-scoring, defensive matchup.
A bullish outcome (6+ corners) could arise if both teams adopt aggressive wing play or pressing tactics, leading to frequent set-piece opportunities and counterattacks. High-pressure midfield battles or defensive errors may also increase corner frequency. Canada’s youthful squad and South Africa’s attacking tendencies could elevate corner counts.
A bearish outcome (under 6 corners) is likely if both teams prioritize possession and build-up play, reducing high-risk transitions. Defensive solidity, low-intensity gameplay, or tactical fouling to disrupt play could suppress corner opportunities. Weather conditions (e.g., wind/rain) may further dampen attacking play.
