In the upcoming FIFA World Cup game between Spain and Austria, scheduled for July 2 at 3:00 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Over" if Spain takes 5 or more corners within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If Spain takes fewer than 5 corners within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve to "Under". This market is based solely on corners taken by Spain, not the combined number of corners taken by both teams. Markets on number of corners refer to corners taken, not corners awarded. Corners awarded but not taken will not count. Corners awarded during extra time or penalty shootouts do not count. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Crowd-implied vs ORYN AI fair value over time, with decision markers
The Spain vs. Austria FIFA World Cup match has an even 50% probability for Spain to record over 4.5 corners in the first 90 minutes. The outcome hinges on Spain's offensive pressure and Austria's defensive tactics.
Spain's high possession style and attacking prowess (e.g., 60-65% possession in recent matches) increase the likelihood of winning corners, especially against Austria's mixed defensive record. Historical data shows Spain averages 5.8 corners per game in World Cup matches.
Austria's disciplined defensive structure (e.g., conceding 4.2 corners per game in Euro 2024) and Spain's potential tactical adjustments to prioritize goals over corners could suppress the total. Recent Spain matches show a decline in corner counts.
