The prediction market for Chris Wood achieving 4+ combined goals and assists in the New Zealand vs. Belgium FIFA World Cup match on June 26 is nearly balanced at 49.60%, reflecting uncertainty around his role and impact. The outcome hinges on his inclusion in the starting lineup and performance against Belgium's defense.
Chris Wood could exceed 3.5 combined goals and assists if he starts and capitalizes on counter-attacking opportunities against Belgium's high press. His physicality and aerial ability make him a threat in set-pieces, potentially contributing to multiple goal involvements.
Belgium's defensive solidity and pressing may limit Chris Wood's involvement, especially if he is not in the starting lineup. His impact could be further diminished if New Zealand concedes early, forcing a defensive approach.
