In the upcoming MLB game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies, scheduled for July 2 at 12:35 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Over" if the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies combine to score 7 or more runs by the conclusion of the 5th inning. If the combined total is less than 7, this market will resolve to "Under". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the 5th inning has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. To know when a postponed game will be played, please check the home team's schedule on MLB.com for the listed team and look for the game described as a makeup game. The primary resolution source for this market is the official final statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.
Crowd-implied vs ORYN AI fair value over time, with decision markers
The market for the 1st 5 innings Over/Under 6.5 runs between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies is currently at 50%, indicating a balanced expectation with no clear consensus on scoring. The neutral probability reflects the inherent uncertainty in early-inning MLB outcomes.
The bull case for 'Over 6.5' hinges on high-scoring offenses from both teams, particularly if the Phillies' strong lineup (ranked among MLB's top 5 in runs per game) faces a Pirates pitching staff with recent struggles in allowing runs. Weather conditions favoring offensive play (e.g., warm temperatures, no wind) could also contribute to higher scoring.
The bear case for 'Under 6.5' assumes a low-scoring game driven by dominant pitching performances, such as the Pirates' bullpen's recent efficiency in limiting runs or the Phillies' rotation's ability to suppress scoring early. Pitcher-friendly ballparks or adverse weather (e.g., cold, windy conditions) may further reduce scoring potential.
