The prediction market for the Houston Astros vs. Detroit Tigers game O/U 12.5 runs is evenly split, with a 50% probability assigned to both the Over and Under outcomes. The game's outcome is highly uncertain, given the volatility of MLB scoring dynamics.
The Astros' high-powered offense, ranked among the top in MLB, could push the combined total over 12.5 runs, especially if key hitters like Yordan Alvarez or Alex Bregman perform well. The Tigers' pitching staff has inconsistencies, which could lead to higher run totals if their bullpen struggles in late innings.
Both teams have strong pitching staffs, with the Astros' rotation and bullpen capable of limiting run production, while the Tigers' offense has shown vulnerabilities against elite pitching. Weather conditions or defensive errors could suppress scoring, keeping the total under 12.5.
