The market reflects a 50% probability that Zhengzhou's highest temperature on May 21, 2026, will reach 25°C, indicating maximal uncertainty given the long time horizon and seasonal variability. Historical climate data suggests a moderate likelihood, but the absence of finalized forecasts weakens confidence in the prediction.
A bullish outcome (25°C) is plausible if Zhengzhou experiences warmer-than-average spring conditions, possibly driven by El Niño effects or localized urban heat island intensification. Early seasonal trends in 2026 could also favor higher temperatures, aligning with the upper range of historical averages.
A bearish outcome (below 25°C) is supported by potential La Niña conditions or atypical cold snaps in late spring, which Zhengzhou has experienced in recent years. Persistent cloud cover or monsoon delays could further suppress peak temperatures below the threshold.
