Crowd-implied vs ORYN AI fair value over time, with decision markers
The prediction market suggests a low 2.5% probability that Madrid's highest temperature on July 1, 2026, will reach 40°C. Historical climate data and current trends indicate such extreme temperatures are uncommon for the region during early July.
A heatwave could push temperatures to 40°C if an anomalous high-pressure system persists over Iberia, combined with Saharan air advection. Climate change trends may also increase the likelihood of extreme heat events in Southern Europe.
Madrid's historical climate data shows the highest July 1 temperature rarely exceeds 38°C, with 40°C being an outlier. Persistent cloud cover, coastal breezes, or unseasonal rainfall could suppress temperatures below 40°C.
