The prediction market for Hong Kong's highest temperature on June 29, 2026, is highly unlikely to reach 28°C, with a current market probability of 1.05%. Historical data and seasonal trends suggest temperatures this high in late June are improbable.
A bullish outcome could occur if an unusual heatwave or extreme weather event drives temperatures to 28°C. This would require sustained high-pressure systems or climate anomalies, which are rare but not impossible in the region.
The bear case reflects historical averages and seasonal norms, where late June temperatures in Hong Kong typically range between 26-27°C. Factors like monsoon patterns or cloud cover could suppress peak temperatures further.
