The market indicates an extremely low probability (0.20%) that Chicago's highest temperature on June 28, 2026, will be 75°F or below. Historical climate data for late June in Chicago suggests temperatures typically exceed this threshold, making the outcome highly unlikely.
Unseasonably cool weather patterns, such as an Arctic air mass or persistent cloud cover, could suppress temperatures below 75°F. Late June historically records average highs of 80-85°F in Chicago, but unusual meteorological conditions could defy this trend.
Climate change trends and urban heat island effects in Chicago likely push temperatures toward the higher end of historical ranges. Late June averages and recent warming trends make a sub-75°F high improbable without extraordinary circumstances.
