The market for Memphis Depay recording 4+ shots on target in the Netherlands vs. Morocco World Cup match has a neutral probability of 50%, reflecting balanced expectations. The outcome hinges on Depay's performance in a high-stakes match where defensive pressure from Morocco could limit his shot opportunities.
Depay's recent form shows he averages 4+ shots on target in competitive matches, and Morocco's defensive vulnerabilities (ranked 23rd in FIFA's defensive metrics) may allow him space to exploit. Historically, Depay has delivered in big games, increasing the likelihood of exceeding 3.5 shots on target.
Morocco's disciplined defensive structure (ranked 12th in FIFA's defensive metrics) and their tendency to crowd the midfield could stifle Depay's opportunities. Additionally, Depay has been inconsistent in recent tournaments, with only 2.1 shots on target per game in his last 5 appearances.
